Snow in Brussels

Suddenly last week the temperature went down enormously in Belgium, well in Europe in general.
And last friday we even received the snow I ordered for Christmas a bit too late, but I like it very well and the cat likes it also :-)

Here are some view's through my dinning room window.

Summer time=time in the sun

Hello everybody, today the weather is gorgeous so no time to sit inside. Running outside to take the sun :-)

Here is some eye candy of my place (+ new bamboo table) and a special video I found. I discovered this decorator a couple of years ago, but I never found any information about him :-s

For the Record I will disappear for two weeks from now on ;-)

See you when I am back on the continent.

Neo garden

One of the big projects of the apartment was also to redo the garden, it was not ugly, but way to minimalistic for me. In my dining-room I have almost a whole wall of windows, so I want to enjoy my garden all year around when I am looking at it from inside. So I choose for plants who stay green even during the winter times.

Here are the results and the before pictures ;-)
I am already very happy of the result, so it will be perfect in one years time.

Times is passing by

Well to be honest I don't see it passing by. Everything goes too quick, but I suppose thats a good sign. 24 hours a day isn't enough, 36hours would be ideal.

I am on several projects for the moment working in our house, keeping the bed and breakfast together with my boyfriend. Doing some little DIY projects on my own, creating a website, some antiques shopping and off course reading. Because don't we all read a lot on the internet. Looking for fantastic articles in blogland :-)

A couple of days ago, I think Last week ago I saw some gorgeous pictures in the New York Times.

And I just saw that Renee from Renee Finberg 'Tells All' wrote a nice article about it with gorgeous pictures.

What a great taste she has, thanks for sharing and I just put here the one's a really love. So I can drool on them.

Snow on the Botanique

In belgium it's not automatically a white christmas, sometimes we have no snow at all, but this week we had already some good one. Thursday will I was working it started, we couldn't see the other buildings so strong it was. We had to go to another building for work, and it was a kind of an expedition. The snow is staying, and they weather predictions are telling us that we will have a white christmas maybe. I think that would be very nice. Today I went one of the two René Pechère parks close to my office. So know i can show you some picture of Pechère art under the snow.
It's called the park of the "Botanique". In the past the city stopped there, it were the botanical gardens of the city, were all the rare and exotic plant were kept. In the seventies there was a plan to put a building there, but the citizens protested so much that the project never started. Thank God, because I can swear this is the most wonderful place in the summer, or even all year around.

Hope you enjoy it as much as i did today.

Thats the building i work in :-)

Good weekend, and happy holidays!!!!

Jacques Wirtz

This morning when I was reading the weekend edition of "De Tijd", a financial paper like the Financial Times. There was an interesting article about Wirtz. For the one's who don't know him, I am sure Greet of Belgian Pearls will know him :-)

For a little Biography on him, click here.

The website is under construction, but you have to see all the projects he has done, they are just stunning.

And for the one who don't know his work, here are some pictures. I am sure you will love his work.

Hope you enjoyed it.
