Mamamia, I was looking for this little baby's for years. And finally the Auction-Gods put them on my path.
Off course I bought them and the first who would be in my way during the bidding would be have been killed. Luckily it wasn't necessary to kill anybody to get those home :-)
What do you think? I am going to paint them in white and patinate them.
They are great. Do you go to Auctions Horta?
ReplyDeleteI liek at their site sometimes.
I go to the vieiwindays, but never buy anything for myself personally, i find them very very pricy :-)
ReplyDeleteHello:
ReplyDeleteWonderful chairs. And we can imagine how splendid they might look painted a matt, chalky white and then suitably distressed rather as Stephen Tennant might have done them.
Hello,
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful and to must be perfect in a chalky white:)
Greetings
Jérôme
These are very handsome, and will look marvelous painted and distressed, as you suggest.
ReplyDeleteGreat table set! White sounds beautiful, especially when you use chalk paint.
ReplyDeleteHappy evening,
Madelief
So very français dahhling! absolutely love. Can not wait for the "after" photos...
ReplyDeleteFantastic chairs! I'm craving color so much these days though, I'd probably paint them chartreuse and put them in my kitchen. :)
ReplyDeleteIndeed. .Its beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteOh dahhling they are perfection! I can not wait to see the updated photos...

Ook genoten van het mooie weekend?

Dear Mr Neo,
ReplyDeletePlease don´t paint them white with a fake patina. The world have definitely seen enough of that look. Go for a colour that is more true to the period or just simply leave them as they are for a while.
Peter
Love those chairs.
ReplyDeleteTake a look at these ones... they are kind of similar, in the style and the vintage inspiration, I guess.
