Yep again a fantastic antique fair in Brussels. It's not like in Maastricht, but It's always nice to see nice things.

Very inspirational. The timeless look is here to stay!
ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful things. Is it wrong to covet them??? It is so hard to find quality antiques on this side of the world. Thanks for sharing. David.
ReplyDeleteWas just having a last look at blogland before we head out to catch the TGV to Paris, and seeing your post here I just had to comment. Mirrors! The magic of mirrors. Beautiful objects in your photos here, and beautiful photos themselves.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was 16, there was a European-style café in Seattle called "Dilettante" we'd go for dessert after the cinema, trying to be all adult and European. It was this magically small space, dark brown walls and dozens of antique mirrors. The vibe was very much like "Bar della Pace" in Rome, which of course I couldn't know at the time, but there was just this wonderful Old World charm and patina to the place that was so unique in a city so practically-oriented and non-Old-World like Seattle. Anyway, the magic of those mirrors, the candlelight -- quite a vibe.
Well, off to Paris now for lots of patina and charm.
Have a good week yourself,
Michael
I love the endless reflection of mirrors in the first picture ;) looks like a great exhibition!
