When countryside becomes city

Brussels was always a very little town in the 19th century, you could through it in 40 minutes, now a days it seems it never end. It's different everywhere off course. But the pictures i share with you today are pic's of the oldest building's in Ukkel (one of the parts of Brussel). A long time a go it would have been the lonely houses in the neighborhood. But now a days it's in the middle of a residential neighborhood. The contrast couldn't be greater. But we're used to that over here :-)

Hope you enjoy them.

  9. Love all the pics and post on Brussels. You mentioned Spring - I'm curious, are the stores open the week before Easter? Our vacation are always influenced by my husband's schedule as a teacher.
